I wanted to share some weekly tips on how you can get out of the rut! Do you want a better life? I will be sharing weekly tips on what I want to call "Project Self Improvement".
Happiness is everywhere! But some people are having a hard time defining the true meaning of happiness in their life. When you begin to "work" on yourself for example improving your self you can and will achieve a happier meaning to your life.
I will share 5 tips a week for the next few weeks. I challenge you to practice these 5 tips daily for the next week. Continue on adding the weekly tips. Determine which ones work for you and your lifestyle. And practice them daily.
Tip 1: Talk to Someone - Find a happy person to talk too. Ask them their secret to happiness. A happy person will share with you what enables them to feel this way and why the benefits of being happy lead to being positive.
Tip 2: Don't Overlook Pleasure in Your Life - Make a list of anything and everything that pleases you. Once you do that, take a moment and ask yourself when was the last time I was being that person and/or doing those things? Hint: Now do all or some of those things!
Tip 3: Be Grateful - Wake up with an attitude to gratitude. Begin each and every new day of your life with a few minutes of quiet reflection about all the things you have to be grateful for, journal those things with your morning coffee or tea. Now silently to yourself or out loud, say thank-you for each item on the list. Believe me, there is no better way to start your day and open yourself up to the possibility of happiness.
Tip 4: Be in Sync with Your Surroundings - Your emotions are affected by the world you live in - your physical and social surroundings. If you are in sync with that world, you have a much better change of achieving happiness in your life. Think about where you currently live. Ask yourself are you happy? If the answer is no maybe you can consider moving to a different area in which you would feel happier.
Tip 5: Be Ethical - Becoming a more ethical person : Develop a set of principles to live by that conform to society's expectations. Always try to put yourself in the other person's shoes. If you wouldn't want someone to take advantage of you, then don't take advantage of others. Are you consistent? Don't tell one person something in one situation and then tell someone else just the opposite in another situation.
